hi yates,
we shot with a sony pmw-ex1 with a letus 35mm adapter. we shot with an canon eos 50mm 1.4 for the majority of the shoot.

For the Framing Effect, it seems like you could overlay a PNG file on top of the video. With a few key frames, you could get the movement of the frame really easily. Is that how it was done Elevation?

Yates the framing effect was achieved by using a letus adapter... by pulling back from the ground glass you can see the frame that it sits in... the film burn is just any ol' film burn that you can use nothing special... just cropped for the inner frame
