A custom Vado for you.
This video shows me mounting various conversion lenses and filters on my Vado HD. See a demo of these lenses at my next video, "Vado HD in...Little Red Corvette"

I'll be glad to help you, but please read this message to it's end before doing anything! Trust me on this one.
First off, the conversion lenses are made by Toda Seiko. Here's the link: toda-seikoh.jp/english/product_digital_camera.html
There are only a few companies that import them. The Telephoto model (Toda Seiko 501-ST) is designed for compact digital cameras and was purchased at Semsons.com
Here's the link: semsons.com/conversionlens.html
If you decide to purchase the lens you have to get the "small" (10-17mm) version.
The Wide Angle model you see in my video is not shown on Toda Seiko's web site, although it too is sold at Semsons.com (but I did not purchase mine from them). It was purchased from another distributor and they pulled a "bait & switch" on me. The 'wide angle' model that was advertised was not the one that was sent to me! Basically they sent me the 'old wide angle' model rather than the 'new wide angle' model that is shown on Toda Seiko's web site. Model (804-SW) in case your wondering. As you know already the Vado HD has a 'wide angle' lens, so it's not really practical to use the Wide Angle conversion lens on the Vado HD. It also requires a different mounting 'system' than the Telephoto lens that you see, just to get it to hold on my Vado HD which makes it even more of a hassle to use it on a regular basis.
*Before you read on, please note that Toda Seiko (or anyone else that I know of) does not make conversion lenses or adapters that mount/work with the Vado HD. I had to fabricate a mount to get the 'Telephoto', 'Wide Angle', '10x Macro' and 'Lens Filters' to work on the Vado HD.
The Toda Seiko Macro conversion lens (model K-400) is designed for camera phones and does not require fabricated parts to work on the Vado HD. It's perfect for the Vado HD because the Vado's lens is the same as most camera phones. I purchased mine at Amazon.com & here's the link: amazon.com/Macro-Conversion-Lens-Camera-Phone/dp/B0011G9TO0/ref=cm_cr-mr-title
Toda Seiko also goes by the name of 'Digital King'. Google them and you will find other distributors that sell those conversion lenses.
Here's a link to a distributor that can show you how those conversion lenses
work: strapya-world.com/categories/12_646_669.html
*Toda Seiko conversion lenses are also 'sold' under different camera brands which you may find confusing if you do a deep internet search. I wish this whole process was a simple affair (buy the lenses here and simply attach to the Vado) but it's not.
The 10x Macro Adapter Lens and Lens Filters that I'm using are made for any camera that has a 52mm mounting thread. I have to use a 37-52mm Step-Up Ring to get them to work on my Vado HD.
I just got a vado HD and would like to do some very up close macro shots of my saltwater reef tank.
Im going to be getting the 4x lens but I think im going to need the 10x for most of the stuff I want to shoot.
Thanks
Anyway, to get the conversion lenses & filters to work on my Vado requires a shallow 'metal ring' or (something similar) to be mounted over the Vado's protruding lens. If you would like more info on the 10x Macro tell me where to send it to you cause it's kinda long.
I'll send you also a message, going to add you as a friend right away. :)
