The ability to communicate with God through prayer is an awesome
privilege, available to us only because of Jesus; Is. 1:15, 59:1-2, &
Heb. 4:14-16.

The power of prayer is not in us or our prayers, but rather in the God
to whom we pray; James 5:17-18.

The purpose of prayer is to conform our will to God’s will, not to try
to conform His will to our will; James 4:3,
Matt. 6:10, 26:39, & 1 John 5:14-15.

Jesus intercedes for us before the Father; Heb. 7:25. The Holy Spirit
aids in prayer; Rom. 8:26.

We are to pray for one another; James 5:16.

We are to pray for all people; 1 Tim. 2:1.

We are to pray for our leaders; 1 Tim. 2:2.

We are to pray for those who persecute us; Matt. 5:44.

We are to pray for the salvation (Rom. 10:1) & spiritual growth
(Col. 1:9,2 Thess. 1:11-12), of others & give thanks for them (Col. 1:3, Phil. 1:3).

All of us, no matter how spiritually mature, need prayer.
