Right on time for the opening of Frankfurt Airport’s new flight gate A+, international passengers are now being welcomed at the “Atrium” of “Lufthansa City Mobile” since October last year – the core of the terminal. Based on an idea by the agency MECH, dan pearlman implemented the big, flexible, floating, kinetic mobile. Constantly moving, depending on air circulation, flexible and yet reliable – the concept of this central advertising space is an eyecatcher and simultaneously transports the airline’s brand values.
In the sculpture’s center there is the A380, Lufthansa’s fleet giant, for which in the course of FraPort’s expansion four additional flight positions had to be created. A 3,5 m three-dimensional airline logo is being flanked by the airplane models A321 and A330. Twelve unique landmarks of the most exciting cities from all around the world represent the airline’s huge route network and clearly demonstrate the world coming closer together.
