While visiting The RAF Club for Battle of Britain Sunday last September, Squadron Leader Geoffrey Wellum DFC and Squadron Leader Tony Pickering AE talk about their membership of The Club, its facilities, and the special place it holds for them.
Founded in 1918, The RAF Club is a members club for those who are serving or who have served in the Royal Air Force and Allied Air Forces. The Club is open to non-members as a unique space in the heart of Mayfair for hosting events.
Though sometimes referred to as a gentlemen's club, membership of The RAF Club is open to men and women who hold or have held commissions in the RAF, PMRAFNS, Reserve Forces and Commonwealth and friendly foreign air forces.
