The Sruti Association brings aids in different ways to the people living in these difficult conditions:
schooling for children, sanitary education for women, prevention...

Alexandrine Lambotte Saligari (the president of Sruti France) and Shashi Singh (the president of Sruti India) defend women’s rights
and do so by focusing their activities on the northern region of India, in the village of Bambrouli located in the Uttar Pradesh region.
The project is to build a house that will serve as a refuge, an education center for women.
So that they could learn a work and be independant.

Shashi was lucky enough to inherit a piece of land in this little village and has decided to dedicate this to the association.
With the plot already in their hands, they needed to find a way to finance the construction.

Our collaboration « MaïProject for Monoprix » and the result of our «20Colors» exhibition
of march 2011 allowed us to reach the amount of 54000 euros.

Thanks to the artists, all the persons involved and the project supporters!
