To better understand Mars, robotic vehicles will need to reach areas on the planet that have yet to be explored. To do this, multiple robotic explorers that employ different technologies may need to work cooperatively. This project aims to architect, design, and demonstrate a prototype symbiotic robotic system able to locate, explore, and report on potential subterranean sites suitable for future in situ placement and development of Mars astronaut habitats.
