Inspired by modern society's primitive origins and the antiquated construction craft of that time, thirteen students from four continents travel to the Netherlands' Noord Oost Polder to investigate the basics of human need, and re-imagine the architecture to house them.
One becomes keenly aware of natural surroundings when removed from the reaches of urban life. In contrast to the formulaic routine of today's consumer-driven society and its effects on the environment, the Polder's emotive landscape inspires reverence for a simpler time when the labors of man harmonized with the laws of nature.
