Fourth & Main takes a trip into the Pixellated Pavilion, an Aladdin’s cave of filmic delights at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. As part of New Frontier’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of filmmaking, the category entries included some astounding meetings of music, cinema, installation art and storytelling. Visitors sunk to the bottom of the sea to watch the luminescent life of a coral reef projected onto the dome above them. They watched volcanoes explode then had their head spun as different narratives of a feature film were projected onto four walls as they sat on swivel chairs in the middle. New Frontiers indeed…
