In the next few decades, it is predicted that there will be large growth in the number of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in the National Airspace System (NAS). In order to fully integrate unmanned aircraft into the NAS, it must be proven that the aircraft can fly autonomously without posing danger to other aircraft around them. This project aims to develop neuromorphic optic flow algorithms that allow on-board optical components to recognize potential hazards and react to them quickly.
