This interview was conducted by Fred Wah and JR Carpenter at Banff Centre for the Arts; their gift for discussion, deep thought, poetic practice and gentleness permitted me to speak about various aspects of my work that were unknown even to myself. It is with great respect and thanks that I recognize their assistance. I also want to thank Ian Hatcher and Steve Tomasula who also interviewed me in 2012, since after editing this interview of myself, anti-narcissm precludes editing more.

I (Jhave) am a hybrid practitioner concerned with the role of immanence, intuition and comprehensive empathy in new media poetics. Basically, I use cameras as sensory collectors, computers as creation devices, programming as 'printing' technology, and networks as diffusions structures in the service of a panpsychic ideal.
