From the smudging ceremony to the walk up the main highway entering Prince Rupert at the end of the "Highway of Tears" the Yellowhead, Highway 16, Indian Nation peoples of the Tsimshian, Gitxsan, Haida, Nisga'a, Tahltan, Tlingit, Haisla, Wet'suwet'en and others all gathered, sang and drummed in the blowing wind and cold rain in solid determination together. They continued undaunted to the Prince Rupert Lester Performing Arts Center where for four hours they told stories, shared songs and listened to outstanding speakers.
