This is documentation of the recording process of the first movement in the sonata - Ink-less Tattoo. For the Sonata I asked humanola to get a flesh-colored tattoo of a drawing of his own, symbolizing perseverance through physical pain. The tattoo was recorded from the underside of his arm. Then the captured sound (nearly 2 hrs) was transformed into a digital wave image. The wave image was tattoo on my left arm - without ink...

My tattoo was also recorded and later played through my arm in a performance. The audience was invited to listen to the piece by pressing their ear to my arm.
In these actions, elements of physical pain were translated, shared and transferred through many bodies.
