Excellent work! That's so cool that you did the photography for the Conan Intro. What's the name of the song you used?

Wonderful! If Tom Yorke sees this he might ask permission to make it the official music video :)

Tell us about your setup, shoot details, cameras used, number of shots.

I'm inspired to go do some night shooting again!

How long did this take to put together? Any possibility of doing a short tutorial on this? I'm wondering how you make the images look like the lights fading up on the buildings(around :33 - :36 seconds)? Was that done in post or is it the way you shot the images that when they're pieced together it creates that look?

Coincidentally enough- this photo of me was taken while in line for the first episode of the Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. ;-)

Brilliant work. I should really learn how to do bracketing of photos... maybe a tutorial can assist me.

By the way- you guys hiring?

Ray, it looks like he just grabbed all of his images give them either 1 or 2 frames each in length and sequenced them out...

the fade up means he had his camera in bracketing mode..which (with a D700) captures 5 consecutive images with different exposures..probably +/- 2 stops..bracketing is used when making HDR images

Hey man, this could be a nice idea for a tutorial. A time lapse tutorial. You don't have to do one, maybe just a walk through with this video. It could be a nice mix of tutorials: photography, after effects, final cut or whatever else you've used!

    By the way, good job.
