Finally got a clear night sky whilst away camping and made the most of it. The rock I had setup in my foreground had a nice memoriam plaque for a person who had died in the area. Unfortunately his nickname was Killer which didn't make for an enjoyable 1.5 hours sitting in the dark with howling winds.
the Alpha-Centaurids Meteor Shower had just peaked and I love the amount of shooting stars in the top right hand corner of the video I chanced upon..
Yes there is a fair bit of noise in the final image and the video. the Canon 40D isn't great with ISO's above 800 and this time I pushed it to H3200. It was my only choice with the f3.5 Wide Angle lens. I wanted to capture as much of the Milky Way colours as I could and at 800 it wouldn't have been possible.
It is my first use of LRTimeLapse which is amazing and I cant wait to run a few other time lapse shots I tried over the camping trip.
Final montage video was created in Windows Movie Maker. Yes totally lame but it did a good enough job for a quick upload to here.
