These are some of the visual effects breakdowns for the 10 minute short film 'The German', written and directed by Nick Ryan.

The finished film has over 120 visual effects shots, all completed at 2k resolution. These shots were a hybrid of fully CGI, live action photography and stills.

    I saw the film first adnd never noticed half the effects. You're really great at those! But what I really loved was "A lonely Sky", your best work so far in script and the marvelous CG planes that looked SO SO real!

    Amazing work! The only minute detail that I miss would be the shadows on the pilots face as the cockpit uprights would cast shadows with the sun......and a little smoke haze inside the cockpit as those Spitfires were really howling under the strain of their Merlin engines,but then again,you're the genius and not me!
