Meet Doug. He's a fishmonger of the highest order whose life's work is to take the fear out of cooking fresh seafood to pure perfection.
What's his recipe? Fresh, line-caught fish sourced from sustainable fisheries. And working shoulder-to-shoulder with the rest of the fish guys: Angelo, Bobby and Shawn.
His inspiration? A whole fish (head to fin) and a passel of herbs and spices to pack on for grilling.
His latest adventure? Hitting the International Seafood Show in Boston with the other fish guys to scout new sustainable products, dabbling in uncharted smoked salmon recipe territory, and honeymooning in Costa Rica with his lovely new bride.
Where can you find him? On the far north end of the Market across from North Market Poultry & Game. Offering assorted fresh seafood and homemade soups, sandwiches and salads every single day.
