Late at the Tate, Friday 7th August 2009. CoMA Voices perform 'The Great Learning: Paragraph 7', 1969 by Cornelius Cardew. The work is set to an English translation of a text by Confucius, and is scored using textual instructions that allow the performers to make decisions that affect the shape of the piece. Note how they move from place to place between phrases - sometimes sitting down.
