At the conclusion of the Engagement Party series, MOCA held a series of three Art Talks on performance, social practice and related issues.
The third talk in the series featured Engagement Party essayist Grant Kester, chair of the visual arts department at UC San Diego, who moderated a discussion between artists Suzanne Lacy and Janet Owen Driggs on the evolution of performative activist art over the past 35 years, particularly with regard to its relationship to the changing media landscape.
