In April 2012 we had the request to build the biggest BigAirBag ever made for Monster Energy. This BigAirBag needed to be 25 meters long and 15 meters wide. Guerlain Chicherit, a stunt Rally rider and 4 times world champion free skier, would like to use this bag as a training tool to make one of his dreams possible. To try an un-assistent backflip with his MINI car. The first training session was on location in France, but soon the best location to practice his jumps and develop his car to with Reiger Racing in the Netherlands. A perfect location was created by the company Bosch in Bronckhorst, Netherlands on the east site of the country. Once a month, for several times, the French team came to work on the car and test with jumps on the BigAirBag. Delegated by a big crew from Reiger Racing, Caradiboi, BigAirBag and the French Gravi-it. The BigAirBag was designed for a fast throughput. Start, Jump, Ride off and over and over again. The most difficult part was to rotate the car un-assistant . Reiger Racing and his crew worked day and night together with Christoph Bouzon to get the car tuned. The BigAirBag Crew helped to operate the BigAirBag for a safe environment to land the car. In December a new setup was created in the John Cooper Works area in Lyon, France. On this location the teaser was filmed for promotion the stunt which will be made in February. Beginning February the step was made to do the backflip in real action in the mountains of Tignes, France. To test the car in extreme cold temperatures. And again the BigAirBag was used for the final training in Tignes, moments before the real jump! We are very proud to be a part of this world premiere stunt
