Portraits in Kuduro, Luanda, May-June 2012

A photo essay slide show with portraits of kuduristas (kuduro singers & dancers) in Luanda. The music is 'Yumbala' by Batida (2012) and 'Kalemba (Wegue wegue)' by Buraka Som Sistema (2008). The photos were taken at several events: the First International Conference on Kuduro, National Cinema Theater, Chá de Kaxinde Cultural Center, Luanda, Angola, (May 23rd-25th 2012); Elinga Theater and Bar, Kuduro X Sessions II, (May 26th 2012); and at a Kuduro party celebrating 12 Years of Career for Fofandó, Rangel, Luanda (June 1st 2012).
