Time Markers Experiments combines pinhole and digital photography to record and display both banal and esoteric modern rituals, incorporating elements of chance and surprise as daily routines unfold. A single, cumulative pinhole exposure and multiple digital time-lapse stills are strung together for a flipbook-like animation. These animations are experiments in recording and observing the passage of time. Blending incongruous scenes into short, mute clips results in a dynamic visual parade and ambiguous narrative. Assembled from expanded or compressed recordings of time, these works fundamentally replace photography's struggle to document with photography's power to invent.
