The sofa Linea is designed by Luca Nichetto. The original idea to the sofa Linea Luca Nichetto got from The Line, an Italian animated TV-show he used to watch as a child. With this inspiration Nichetto wanted to create a sofa with a back, when combined in greater numbers, forms a line that creates continuity.
The possibility to combine modules to a greater entirety gives architects and interior designers the opportunity to play with the product and its lines. The sofa is available in two sizes; two or three seater. Small tables link the sofas together and provide functionality. This makes Linea adaptable and possible to use in large as well as small rooms.
- I have learnt how important it is to provide architects with products that they can use in many different ways and thereby create solutions to problems, says Nichetto.
The development of Linea demanded intensive work in order to find the right proportions that could create the above mentioned continuity. The result is a piece of furniture with proportions that wander between a sofa and a bench, landing somewhere in between.
