Great shoot.. Im torn between the 5dmk2 and the hm100. What do you think of the hm100 quality wise compared to the canon?

not much compares to the 5d2 in terms of quality for the price in my opinion & then you get to use all the amazing canon lenses, but it is really a still camera and it isn't really any good for action. I will use a two camea format and use the 5d for the beauty & creative shots and a proper video camera for the action.
The 100 is a neat little camera with lots of pro features , great quality and it is 1/2 the size and weight of most comperable video cameras & it works flawlessly with FCP & the new IMovie.

Thanks for your reply. Im in a huge dilemma. I love the quality of the 5dmk2 but its not really practical for the use i want which is videojournalism. Im a photographer and the HM100 is at the top of the list. Of course Philip Bloom doesnt help when he produces stunning shorts with the 5dmk2..! Im waiting to hear what the reviews come back on the new Panasonic HMC 40 are like and of course the Nikon D300s is a possible. Ive got a whole set of Zeiss ZF lenses and they are stunning quality hence my interes in the 5d etc..
