Damn ...great portraits...and that reflex on sunglases at 180 face moving frames 1:13 to 1:18 ..great to little zoom and .on focus.. :] and smoke reflex 1;33 to 1;35 ...ehhhh 8D tanx

It doesn't show up most of the time in 720 60p mode, just 1080 24p. Sending it in for repair today.

Its something with just the Reds. Not sure whats going on, its in my source footage as well.

Neat vid David. The red's look like our old friend, chroma subsampling at work. Looks like 4:2:0 HDV in the reds. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chroma_subsampling

I got around that problem by doing a slight blur and sharpen to just the chroma of the video (not the luma) when working with 4:2:0 video. I use the G Film plugin, and recommend it! nattress.com/Products/filmeffects/G_Chroma_Sharpen_Prog.htm

Isn't all AVCHD encoded at 4:2:0? I haven't noticed this before.

I see that regularly in anything encoded in h.264 - pure reds or blues will do it. You can filter it out of source video with chroma blurs but it can pop back up in your final piece if you encode back to a 4:2:0 format like MP4/h.264. Lowering saturation in your source video can help minimize it.

I think it will shoot until the card is full or battery dies. The European version has some wacky 30 minute limit so it doesn't qualify as a "camcorder" for tax reasons. Lame.
