this video might actually be one of my all-time favorite ones. perhaps it was just because i carried my camera around with me a lot more than i usually do, but that made for some really good video-making, if i may say so myself. kenneth and i went to the seattle public library earlier this week which was quite a treat. i'd never been before; i'd only seen it on random blogs and stuff. if you haven't seen it, it's this weird structure made completely of glass and steel, and it's supported by one solid block of concrete that rises up in the middle of the library. we explored all of the floors and then we finally sat down to get some work done. after the library we went to the columbia tower and went to the starbucks on the 40th floor. that was a blast too, because the whole building was filled with working dudes and it was cool being in a place filled with people whose lives are centered around ambition. the next day, deb and i went to capitol hill to get some quality mexican food. the place we were initially going to ended up being a cesspool of creeps so, naturally, we ended up getting something better at a taco truck. we both were stuck with temporary nostalgia because food trucks are basically like taxis in california. we sat on the steps of elliott bay and ate and then grabbed some ice cream at molly moon's. we strolled through american apparel and then caught the bus back home. henry and i planned to go to the wallingford starbucks but we ended up by uw. so we went to a starbucks there and discovered that we couldn't do anything productive, so we just took the bus back home. friday was unnaturally sunny and it was pretty nice. it sounds weird, but i love being in my room when it's sunny. it reminds me of los angeles, and the sun shines through my window post-its and makes me really happy. kennet came and lounged on my couch for a bit and we talked about all sorts of things before we both went out on a floor activity. yesterday ashley and i took a walk to fremont and went to milstead for some coffee. i forgot how much i love having coffee there. after that, i ran into deb and decided that i'd join her for some studying. at the bus stop, i watched the hoards of people playing humans versus zombies. the description is exactly what it sounds like. after studying i walked to trader joe's to get some new flowers. that night i went out to dinner with deb. i've come to realize that all we ever do is eat mexican food and buy clothes. but i do love spending time with her. we went to dinner and then stopped by u village. when we got back, everyone was in kenzi's room making aubrey a dress out of toilet paper. it was a great thing to witness, to say the least. finally, today a group of us all walked to the fremont market. laura and i bought maps as the last thing for our room and then we walked back. it was great.
