Filmmaker Shirley Bruno directed, shot, and edited this concert film short, a portrait on rising star Rwandan-Belgian singer Iya Dede. Born and raised in Rwanda and settled in Belgium to escape civil war & genocide, Iya Dede has already made her mark on the Francophone music scene touring Europe & the US with world renowned artist Zap Mama. With a punk spirit and eclectic song-writing reflecting the nuance, playfulness and gravitas of her life experiences "Talking To God," her American debut EP is already getting play on okayplayer.com, Santos House party and MTV VMA's 13Bands.
