For this project I had to use my own video to manipulate. Since I had taken a video class a couple months ago, I decided to use some footage from my music video project. Our task was to create a 3d model and insert it into the video to make it look like a natural part of the scene. For whatever reason I decided to model a water fountain. I then took the video footage into Boujou to lay out the points in virtual space so that I could import those points into Maya. I then moved the object onto a locator in Maya using a point that we can see as the "edge of the sidewalk" in the footage, I set up some lights, and then rendered out just the model (attached to the locator). Lastly I brought the video and the tif sequence of the model into After Effects CS6 and did some rotoscoping and rendered out the video.
