Here is a short project I threw together, with the help of Derek Hetrick. It is predominantly Actionscript and Unrealscript, with a tiny bit of kismet thrown in. I'm a big Borderlands fan, and I figured I'd do some messing around with UDK and Scaleform, and try to replicate some of their UI styles and elements. Unreal passes inventory down to flash, which then uses said data to populate the inventory. I tried to avoid kismet where possible. With the exception of a trigger around the test item (carrot) it is entirely AS3 and Unrealscript.
While we did originally want to use a 3D model for the character in the menu, we decided to use a 2D character, for the sake of time. As usual, Derek did the design and art, while I did the programming.
