Ahah, not sure you should be ! Ah, ok, about strolling in Paris, maybe, sorry. Yeah, that was great.
  • Alex Itin plus 2 years ago
    nice.

are you using your "box" thing here?
  • Remyyy plus 2 years ago
Yeah, I'm using "The thing". I forgot to write it on the caption.
  • Alex Itin plus 2 years ago
    The Thing

What do you call it in French? Le Chose?
  • Remyyy plus 2 years ago
Ahah, the thing is "la chose", yes, but I'm just referring to your old comment on Flickr.

I tried, I failed... I will try again
  • Remyyy plus 2 years ago
    oh no, what happened ?
  • Charlie McCarthy plus 2 years ago
The magnifying glass was too small and I could not get enough light.
  • Remyyy plus 2 years ago
Oh, sorry. I don't remember if I gave you the size of the one I'm using, around half of the size of the shoe box (I think if it's bigger it will be a problem for the reflection or at least it will be too restricted). I hope you'll find a way to test it.
  • Charlie McCarthy plus 2 years ago
Thanks, I am going to try again soon.

That guy didn't even see I was filming him, I think, even if I was maybe 1meter and a half away from him with a shoebox.

J'aime beaucoup cette histoire de boîte à chaussure.
Surtout l'idée de te voir filmer à Paris avec une boîte à chaussures. Enfin bref c'est très chouette.

    Ahah, merci !

The beginning was like a film noir, Remyyy style.

You should start a channel devoted to this style filming. I like it.
  • Remyyy plus 2 years ago
A channel with shoe box videos ? That would be fun if other people could try that.
  • Fabrice D 2 months ago
    I would try that!

What camera are you using? And how do you move about with that shoebox? It looks so fragile!
  • Remyyy plus 2 years ago
I'm using a Canon MVX3i. And I'm moving with in one hand the shoebox and in the other the camera. Definitely impossible to stay still at least for me. It began to be hard after some time but the good point is it's so simple that it's not complicate.

  • This is just so simple, so cinematic, so wonderful.
I spend a small fortune on Super 8 and a Brevis DOF adapter for my camera but this is just so innocent.
    Well done.
