More Lumix GH1 footage shot at 720 60p

Launches filmed with Canon FD 50 mm f/1.4

Close up Landings filmed with Nikon 80 - 200 mm f/2.8
(Apologies for the lack of focus. This was the first time I got to play with this lens. Nikon lenses focus backwards compared to the Canon lenses I was used to.)

Other Landings filmed with Canon FD 50 mm f/1.4

So the line defect was happening in 720p as well?
I thought you only had the problem in 1080p.
At least you're getting it dealt with.
    Nice footage btw.
  • David Aldrich plus 4 months ago
Yeah, it started showing up in 720p and sometimes even in stills. It seemed to happen when there was a lot of light, or overexposed areas in the image.

Man, why do some pilots feel it's necessary to get their hands on the downtubes up past their head for a landing? It's not needed and in fact reduces your lateral control at a time when you have little anyway. Compare the landing with high hands at 3:00 (not very good even though the glider is single surface) versus the landing at 3:30 (excellent, with double surface). All you need is a bit of energy carried into the final ground effect, and a strong crescendo flare. Or not even a strong flare - look at the pilot early in the video that just runs a few steps. jmcw2.

    Excellent instructional video, BTW. Thanks!
