The Revolving Door Faith Club documents seven 30-40-year-olds who decide to practice five different religious traditions over the course of one year, not as a means of “shopping” for a religion, but to spark a dialogue on the impact religion has had on their lives in the past and its place in their lives going forward. In doing so, the “Revolvers” – whose different religious perspectives include apathy, agnosticism, and affection – expose their feelings about their own upbringings, organized religion, and the idea of spirituality; and their ambivalence towards “traditional” religion. Their experiences shed light on the religious lives of Generation X in adulthood. This First Episode of the 5 Part mini Series covers Islam.
