    Hello there,

I would like to know who did the remarkable piece of music one can hear at the beginning of this very video and furthermore: what might its title be?

    sincerely,

Wow! Great work all. I find the drawings so endearing and the chatty style equally so. Keep on keepin' on!

As a middle and high school science teacher turned marine bio grad student I can't stress enough how wonderful creaturecast is. This is exactly the type of thing my students would have gotten psyched about, and a wonderful example of how scientists can share their research in interesting, accessible ways. Keep up the great worl!

Very nice writing, narration, and drawings. But I was disappointed that a video podcast on an amazing visual spectacle of colors and iridescence included no photographs (or video) of the phenomenon. A mix of animation and actual images would have been more... illuminating. Or at least a link to some images would have been good.

What a wonderful video! It's great to see scientists presenting their work in creative, accessible ways. It's often said that scientists are partly to blame for the public's general lack of understanding and appreciation of scientific research. Outreach like this may be exactly what is needed to help turn things around.

And I agree with Heather's comments above - I can imagine a lot of young people thinking, "Hey, I want to be a scientist too!" after watching a video like this.

I just posted a link to your video on the Darwin Facebook group. Hopefully it will bring more visitors to your site. We also have a discussion thread in the group entitled "The Future of Science Videos," where people can share ideas, tips and resources for making science videos. We would love to hear from the people behind CreatureCast.

    Keep up the good work!

I really love it and i'm going to show it also to my daughter who's fond of science and the first animal she studied was the squid!

That was great, really, sterling work. Add one more fan to your list.
It's got me thinking about doing something of my own in the same vein.
