NanoTag's precise high-speed production line application process.
This is a high-speed trial to apply NanoTags to metal cans on a full speed production line at the NCI cannery in New Zealand for the Australian Wild Abalone Association (AWA). The nozzle is delivering micrograms of propriety adhesive and a number of NanoTags to the surface of the can - an authentication process that marks the can as an original. The information on the NanoTags will be the client company logo and batch number.
Please note the vertically placed Nordson cartridge with a pink needle - filled with high-security NanoTags suspended in a NanoTag propriety adhesive. A photo sensor triggers the Nordson controller when cans pass the nozzle. It dispenses the droplets of adhesive with several NanoTags onto the seam of the passing cans, marking each (at the speed up to 720 a minute) with security ID-coded tags.
