All shots on the following reel are from freelance projects undertaken in the last 12 months.
All VFX are created by me.
This reel is edited together to show off my rotoscope and paint skills. I am also a skilled compositor.
Shot 1: From Down in the Third, directed by Michael Brooks.
A patch was created in photoshop and tracked into the shop using After Effects to cover the extension cable visible in the shot. The character in the foreground was then rotoscoped to give the impression that he was in front of the patch.
Shot 2: From Another Day, directed by Sotiris Tsacpounidis.
The orb and particle effects were created and composited using After Effects and Particular. Tracked into shot using Mocha. The hands were rotoscoped using After Effects roto tool.
Shot 3: From Another Day, directed by Sotiris Tsacpounidis.
The hands were rotoscoped using Mocha. The orb was tracked and composited using After Effects.
Shot 4: From Another Day, directed by Sotiris Tsacpounidis.
The hands were rotoscoped using After Effects roto tool. The orb was tracked into the shot using After Effects 2D tracker.
Shot 5: The Tenant, directed by Chelange Joseph.
A paint patch was created in Photoshop to remove the kettle from the shot. The foreground characters chest was rotoscoped using After Effects so that he could move in front of the patch.
Shot 6: Directed by Michael Brooks.
The character was rotoscoped out of a single still frame. A hole in the ground image was then fully integrated into the shot using photoshop. The edges of the hole were then rotoscoped in After Effects and a digital camera move was inserted to give the sense of moving out of the hole.
