La Terrasse du Château Frontenac (or The Dufferin Terrace as it is also known) is a favorite destination for Quebekers and tourists alike. People meet and mingle there. It's an ideal location to enjoy the sights of the St Lawrence River and of the old city below. The Château Frontenac is probably one the most photographed hotel in the world and the city's most famous landmark. During WWII, Roosevelt and Churchill met and stayed there [August 1943]. In fact there is a famous photograph of them that was taken on « la Terrasse » as the locals are calling it.
