Here is a tribute to my mother, Cheryl Denelli Righter, who died of a massive stroke on February 13, 2013 at the age of 56. Her beauty and enthusiasm for life affected all who knew her and she will be greatly missed by all she touched. She was a hard worker; a teacher, a paraprofessional, a shared living provider for a woman with cerebral palsy for 18 years, a devoted mother, sister, and friend. She called her home "The Gathering Place" and enjoyed hosting spa parties, mixers, family reunions, and graduation parties. What a cook. What a beam of light.
She was a giver as well. A few days after she passed she donated her facial tissue to a strong and empowered woman by the name of Carmen Blandin Tartleton. I'm honored to have met her. She is apart of my life now and I'm so blessed she has taken me in and allowed me to smooch that face I've smooched a thousand times before.

We've lost a good one, but her spirit lives on.
