Grace Omondi hopes to become an MP in Kenya’s 2013 elections. It is a deeply sexist society, with only seven percent elected female MPs in the last parliament. In Nairobi’s Makadara constituency where she is standing, voters call her a prostitute when she doesn’t give them cash handouts. Grace isn’t fazed. “I have started this journey to win,” she says.
