Sintel face rig prototype: it is a 2d interface based on sliders and developed within the driver/constraint system.

I used the tracker of blender 2.65 for motion capture . Track location(xz) is linked to empties, then a special armature makes input calibration possible and finally, the processed information reaches the facerig interface.
