A video map of one of the everyday resistances in the eyes of a wanderer in Tirana - #title of architectural research [projecting urban revolution] - civil resistance & space - #rethinking about the meaning of mapping in architecture - "make a map, not a tracing!" - a map unveils conditions across seemingly exhausted urban grounds - #[everday resistances in tirana] - "where there is power, there is resistance' - the accumulation of everyday resistances contribute to the ideological formation of any pending urban revolution - no maps can be conclusive of a place - but a viewpoint to be reflected and re-considered in time - the main boulevard in tirana is on first sight still emblematic of 'power' - though the communist regime was overthrown in 1991 - yet, if we start to explore the axis as a zone but not a line, traces of resistances passively emerge - changing the way we see the city - graffiti is the resistance of self-expression in an institutional zone - actively affecting our perception of the place.
This is a part of an architectural graduation research in 'studio border conditions & territories' at TU Delft, and my first attempt at making video with premiere & aftereffects.. any suggestions are welcomed!
