Highlights from cabaret artist Meredith Miller's one-woman show, performed at Chicago's Links Hall in 2012. Inspired by the musical and filmic personas of the Jazz Age, Meredith embodies a series of tragic characters trapped in vignettes that enact our self-destuctive tendencies within the context of iconic love songs.
Built around acts from Meredith's repertoire, this revue-style show weaves a loose narrative that explores female performance identities from a bygone era of the Jazz Age Stage and the Golden Age of Hollywood.
