September 11th is a video filmed in France, with a fixed shot. This picture has become part of the communal memory. It brings us back to September 11th in New York. The original sound has been maintained. But the visitor can hear it only once he enters the projection space. Loudspeakers fixed in front of the screen broadcast the last speech of Salvador Allende, on September 11th 1973 in Chile, when Pinochet and the military took over.
The contrast between the image and the speech of former President Allende, questions the impact of the images that have become collective. The images confront the fragility of our collective memory.
