"Twidgets" is a home video documenting Kristen and Heather Hagen's vacation to Norway in August, 2008. With our time together drawing to an end, we spend an evening in Oslo visiting some of the most familiar sights the Twidgets have seen yet.

When our family moved to Norway in 1992, our parents spent several months house hunting before finding the great rental that would become our home in Skui. In the meantime, we lived in the "Slottsparken" hotel in Oslo - literally translated "the palace park" hotel, since it is adjacent to the king's house.

Sixteen years later, a light rain doesn't keep us from meandering around that same park and down the capitol city's main street, Karl Johans Gate. We warm up a bit with some coffee at Café Barbera, where I made one of my first blog entries from Norway after arriving in 2007. The café is located in the famous "Aker Brygge" harbor district, where we walk past the Eternal Peace Flame (pictured below) and the Nobel Peace Center on our way to the iconic twin towers of city hall and finally the national theater. We cap off the evening and our Norwegian vacation with drinks at the Hard Rock Café in the twelfth and final episode of Twidgets.
