At TransCanada, safety is a shared value. TransCanada spends hundreds of millions of dollars every year on pipeline integrity and safety. Our safety programs and processes are designed to protect workers, the community and the environment.
One of those safety processes is called in-line inspection. With in-line inspection, we send a set of high-definition sensors into our pipeline. The sensors check the condition of the pipe and detect any potential weaknesses, such as corrosion, before they become safety hazards.
The in-line inspection process is an extremely important part of our safety program.
