"Notes from Steppes" is a documentary study based on Hakan Topal’s personal observations made during Public Art Symposium, 2008 organized by B’sek Art Center in Bishkek, in collaboration with Arthub. Series of fragmented scenes will give a partial account of changing cities, Bishkek and Almaty, while featuring interviews with artists such as Lado Darakhvelidze (Tbilisi) and Alexander Ugay (Almaty) who talk about their art practices in relation to the city environment.
