I shot this to test the video on my new Canon 5d mark II. I wanted to get familiar with the camera and with the post process.
Things I learned
-shooting hand held with a DSLR was actually easier than I thought it would be - not ideal, but not a total headache.
-the image is better than I anticipated
-the post process, especially if you want to go to 24p, takes a lot longer than I anticipated. If I did color correction it would have taken even longer.

And YES! She is a cutie!
I'm assuming this is your baby girl... very cute and congrats.
I did some testing and thought I could get pretty good results with a rigged up rail system that basically was two rails with a cross beam that made contact with me in my upper chest. This gave me 3 points of contact (two hands and the chest.) I tried the FF, but I thought that the fine motor skills it took to use it meant that I couldn't use that hand to support the camera.
I have one setup for just hand held, tripod and Glidecam. I have another setup for shoulder mounting. Each one can be modified based on the situation. But basically it all allows be to be able to shoot and work the FF all on my own. You can even use the FF as a point of support as well.
beautiful.
I have been really enjoying it - although only as a b-camera, not as my main cam. Plus the stills are a major upgrade from my D200
