Federico Campagna will discuss the connection between autonomy and happiness, in relation to the possibility of developing a happy precarity within/outside contemporary capitalism. Two digital platforms (one for sex workers, the other for illicit trafficking on the deep web) will provide case studies about the role of the net can within such process. However, instead of falling for easy techno-optimism, the final section of the talk will be dedicated to the primacy of the offline over the online, and the need for offline supplement to online tools for autonomy.
