A mummers play is an ancient play whose origins can be traced back a thousand years or more. They are still performed in Britain today. This play, by the lovingly named Dorset Knobs, is their own creation, based on the age-old mummers play tradition involving a battle and a slain knight being brought back to life by a doctor. Other pieces of folklore are woven into the play.

Rather than spending money collected at the end on getting drunk, this group donate their takings to the charities Naomi House and Julia's House.
