1. Digital painting time-lapse : Lezard

Time-lapse of a full digital painting illustration with Mypaint / Alchemy and Gimp on Linux. ( only free and open-source application compatible with other system too ; ex : Windows ).

It was recorded in august 2009 as a technology demo for the 2D open source industry, done with Blender Video sequence editor as well as VLC/Mencoder and (gtk)Recordmydesktop.

    Hi David, nice to see , you are painting more and more. This video is very good and it is useful to. showing your technique about sketching and painting. Gim paint Studio as a toolset hahaha but you even did not use it for this time. Well maybe another video.

    Thank you for the video, I didn't know Alchemy exist, I will try it. I love your drawings, you are really talented. After watching this video I wonder if the dragon is a pet or the girl is dragon's slave (the chain in her neck makes me think so), I have just registered for asking that xD

    Edit: I've seen it again and now I noticed the chain wasn't tied to her neck ^^'

    @CarlosArthur : Of course you can ; as the video is licensed in CC-By you can even publish it on a DVD and sell-it for your company. There is almost no more permissive license :) Thanks to want to feature my work.
