"Absenteeism is a piece about the feedback that exists inside of a machine. The purest state of the projector before there are any inputs is a clean blue light. The vibrancy of the blue light may vary, but it is this emotionally charged blue color that is the first thing we see when turning on every projector; it is their collective unconscious. This installation strips technology down to its basic elements and positions it next to humans in their purest form"
Two wood sculptures made with a proportional ratio of 4:3. Touch sensitive interface running custom made Processing 2.0 programs. A video loop is always played in the background but hidden by a blue overlay, once the screen is touched it slowly fades-in until the user stops touching it, then it will slowly fade-out to a pure chromatic blue. This is a collaboration with my partner Amanda Agricola.
